The top 50 schools would then be visited by our wellness partner, Fortis and would be evaluated on the below mentioned parameters. The weightage of each parameter is also mentioned below. Incase of a tie, the decision of the organizers would be final and binding.

PARAMETER WEIGHTAGE
Average attendance of 4th to 6th standard students 40%
School hygiene 20%
Academic record of 4th to 6th standard students 15%
Infirmary/ sick room Details 15%
BMI of 4th of 6th standard students 10%

PARAMETERS IN DETAIL
Average attendance – Points will be assigned basis the average attendance for 4th to 6th standard students. For 95% and above attendance -10 points, for 94.9% to 90% attendance -5 points and below 90% attendance - 0 points.

Formula for calculation of percentage attendance for school is :
% attendance for school =
Summation of the no. of days each student (from 4th to 6th standard) attending the school was present in school in the last 3 months
________________________________________________________ X 100
No of days the school was in session X Total no of students from 4th to 6th
standard in the last 3 months

Example: Suppose the number of students in a school is 100 and the school was in session for 70 days in the last 3 months. 5 students were absent for 10 days each every month in the last 3 months.
100 X 70 - (5 X10X3)
% attendance for school = ____________________________ X 100 = 97.86%
100 X 70

School hygiene – Number of toilets available per 100 students & if RO/ filter water facility is available in the school.

Academic Record – Percentage of students in the 4th to 6th standards getting more than 70% marks.

If 70% students in the 4th to 6th standards score more than 70% marks, the school gets 10 points.

If 50% to 69.9% students in the 4th to 6th standards score more than 70% marks, the school gets 5 points.

If less than 50% students in the 4th to 6th standards score more than 70% marks, the school gets 0 points.

Infirmary/ Sick room details – For every 'Yes' the school gets 10 points.

If any basic first aid facility is available in the school?

Is there a doctor on call who can reach the school in a short span of time?

Is there a nurse/paramedic present in the infirmary?

Are periodic health check-up camps like eye check-ups/dental check-ups, etc. done?

Are immunization drives done in the school, for e.g., flu shot/ hepatitis shot, etc.?

A school with average BMI between 18.5 and 22.9 would be assigned a score of 10, for a BMI between 23 and 24.9 the school would be assigned a score of 0 and a BMI of 25 and above would attract minus ten (-10) points.
